Not an uncommon occurrence in the State Dept Of Fashion Corrections, but did you know the original meaning behind this phrase? It's an aviation term used to describe the speed of a pilot. In the cockpit, planes used to have small ball shaped handles attached to the throttle and the lever which controlled the fuel mix, so when the pilot pushed the ball grips forwards, towards the wall of the cockpit, (see where this is going?), it resulted in the aircraft reaching incredible top speeds, hence the phrase Balls To The Wall.
